We have our own modern machining, strength grading, and treatment facilities. Full chain of custody for FSC, CSA, PEFC, SFI, MTCC certification schemes.
Clear grade softwoods and hardwoods remain our main focus; Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Southern Yellow Pine, Pitch Pine, and especially Western Red Cedar, Siberian Larch and Thermowood, which support our policy of promoting softwoods which are more naturally durable and environmentally friendly and which do not require preservative treatments.
Major recent investment in our Milling operation now gives us the facility to provide profiled sections from 6x6mm through to 200x300mm.
Other facilities available include strength grading, Tanalith, clear Vac-vac, kiln drying, fire retardant finishing, priming, and clear lacquer applications.
We take our ecological responsibilities very seriously and invest only in procuring timber from legal and sustainable sources, augmented by Capricorn being accredited with FSC, CSA, PEFC, SFI and MTCC chain of custody certification.
